The News page displays Lesley’s next workshops but it’s also easy to invite her to run one to suit you.
Use these 3 Easy Steps:
- Email for brochures and show them around to gauge interest.
- Decide on dates, funding, venue and a publicity plan.
- Contact me with your proposal (+ accommodation offer if outside Brisbane).
A dynamic municipal librarian is a great starting person. So is your writers’ group. Stick with Real Life Stories or make a weekend of it by adding one of the other genres Lesley teaches: short stories, novels, poetry or Natural Connections, the workshop for writing environment.

Whatever direction your creativity takes, connecting with other creative people is vital. My muses include:
Kathryn Brimblecombe-Fox, a Brisbane-based artist with a love for the Australian landscape. One of her paintings helped inspire Cry Ma Ma to the Moon. When the book was published, Kathryn supplied the cover art. We have also collaborated in an installation and share a mutual respect for interconnectedness – local to global. http://www.kathrynbrimblecombe-fox.com
Donald Greenfield, an artist who lives in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. His whimsical drawings have appeared in numerous Australian publications, from The Bulletin to Rolling Stone, and feature in Organic Sister. They are copyright protected and are used on this website with his kind permission.
